Peter's Spring Program

Here is a video from Peter's Spring Music Program.
They sang all Praise and Worship songs. It was soooooo great!

It brought tears to my eyes to watch Peter up there - he sure has come a LONG way.
We are SO proud of him!

In this video, they are singing a song called "I Wanna See Jesus Lifted High".
You can hear us laughing in the background! His music teacher couldn't keep a straight face either...

Enjoy!

Flood Cam 2011

Here is the annual Grand Forks Flood Cam - overlooking the Sorlie Bridge and the Red River of the North. We are now down to 1 bridge connecting Grand Forks/East Grand Forks (as opposed to 3) with the possibility that the final bridge may close this next week. Everyone is safe - due to our 400+ million dollar flood protection system. Annual flooding here is just a giant inconvenience - bot no harm to life and property! We are blessed.

What a trip!

Many of you know that we spent 8 days in Honduras (just got back late Thursday night). And for those of you who didn't know, just found out. :) Ben's older sister lives in San Pedro Sula and got married there.

The trip was incredible! We got to experience so much - the wedding, time with family, sightseeing and a vacation away from work. We also experienced the culture, society and people. Life there is so different. And that's putting it mildly. We are forever changed by what we experienced.

Here are some photos...

Me with a police officer

Ben and I at a restaurant, Pecos Bill's

Karla, the bride. Isn't she gorgeous??

One of the Macaws we got to hold at Macaw Mountain, near Copan

Overlooking Copan at a restaurant called Hacienda San Lucas

Natural Hot Springs we enjoyed in the mountains

Me in front of the Mayan Ruins of Copan

Us in front of a giant waterfall. We actually ziplined over this waterfall (130 ft above the river). Ziplining photos will come in a later post. Super incredible experience!!

Eating dinner at a brewery in the mountains run by some Canadians (our last night in Honduras!)

Peter stayed with my parents for 9 days and did absolutely wonderful! We left him a card and a small gift from the dollar store everyday that he got to open while we were away. I guess he just loved getting all that "mail" and didn't ask for us once. He's so well adjusted!

That's about all for now...
Hope your 2011 is off to a great start!
