Here is a picture of Peter right before his surgery...He is in a little wagon that the hospital provides for the kids. Notice that Diego isn't too far away??
And this past weekend we went to the mall to visit the Easter Bunny. Peter wasn't very thrilled as you can see. We had to sit in front of the Bunny so that he couldn't see him. I don't like that he has his "nooky" in his mouth because he only gets it at bedtime, but he was still recovering from surgery. He got to have it a little more when his throat hurt because that was the only thing that made him happy.
Anyways, Happy Easter to everyone! I will probably post more pictures next week after the Easter Bunny visits our house. :D
Yesterday we spent the day in Rochester for the first round of Peter's assessment. The appointment in the morning was a 4 hour long IQ test. It went well. I was in the room during the test and Ben was in the waiting room where he had to fill out 3 questionnaires about Peter...around 600 questions! The doctors went through many pages with Peter, asking him question after question, requesting him to speak, point, jump, skip, etc. They videotaped the whole thing. We spoke with the head Child Psychologist working on our assessment: Dr. Melon. He is a very nice man. Everyone there is amazing! Now we know why they are the ones that work at the best clinic on the planet. We are totally confident that the team of people working with Peter will give us all the information possible. Our next round of tests is April 2-3rd. Ben can't really miss anymore work so my mom is going to come with me when I bring Peter. The days will be long and Mayo is so huge that I don't want to attempt to tackle it alone. When everything is finished (April 7th) they will give us their findings. (We will also be meeting with some Genetics people but the results from that blood work-up will take around 6 weeks...) I will keep you all posted!PS: It's been awhile since I've posted some pictures. I borrowed my camera out 2 months ago and I will finally have the time to go pick it up this weekend. We've been too busy to take pictures anyways. :D We are going to try and make it to see the Easter Bunny at the mall so hopefully I will have some shots for you by Monday!
